About Creative Foodies

Creative foodies, a group of 1st year Massey students aiming to meet the 2015 NZIFST (The New Zealand Institute of Food Science and Technology) challenge by creating an innovative, sustainable solution to increase NZ’s (Gross Domestic Product) GDP over 60% before the year 2025.

Our team consists of four 2016 Bachelor of Food Technology with Honours students Cass Yang, Joshua Cooke, Mike Meng and Shu Sin Chong. The Creative Foodies will be focusing on the lamb industry.

Meet The Crew

Tēnā koutou, I am Joshua Cooke from the long white cloud, Aotearoa, New Zealand and I am currently studying food technology at Massey University. I am a keen foodie and enjoy creating masterpieces, and along with the creative foodies team I believe we can create our own masterpiece in the NZ lamb industry.

Hi, i'm Cass, an international student from Xi'an China. i'm currently first year food technology student who has a lot of passion on food industry. As a part of the foodie team, i believe that the more efforts we put in the project, the more achievements we can make. Nothing is impossible.

I am Mike Meng,  from a city in the north part of China called Jinan which is often known for its 72 natural water springs.

In 2016 my first year of study in Massey, I joined the wonderful team of Creative Foodies which gives me the opportunity to learn from my lovely team mates and express our knowledge to aid the countries meat industry.

Shu Sin Chong

I am Shu Sin Chong, a food lover from one of the top 10 best Asian destination to visit recommended by Lonely Planet - Ipoh, Malaysia. I am an international student currently studying my first year of Bachelor of Food Technology. It's been a wonderful journey being part of the Creative Foodies. where we aim to combine innovation, food and culture together!
